Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa Launches Daycation Packages
Taj Coral Reef Resort & Spa has announced that its heart-shaped private island, set over a heritage coral atoll, is now offering curated experiences for non-resident day visitors.
According to the resort, the new Daycation packages are designed for stress-free, express getaways, offering a “sumptuous slice of the Taj Coral Reef lifestyle” for those looking for a mid-week break from work, a romantic getaway, or a celebration with friends and family.
At just a 45-minute speedboat ride from Male, the resort is ideally positioned for ‘daycationers’ to enjoy its signature attractions. Visitors can choose from a spot of snorkelling guided by the instructors of 5-star Blue In Dive Centre, treatments at the award-winning Jiva Spa, a three-course lunch (including the Asian, Indian, Continental cuisines) and meet-and-greets with local stingrays.
The new bouquet of packages come with three options, priced at USD 140, USD 199 and USD 249. As per the resort, combined boat transfers, lunch, usage of the resort’s swimming pool and a responsibly-conducted local stingray feeding experience are common across all packages, but the second package includes a snorkelling trip, while the third package has an additional spa treatment.
Private boat transfers are available for a minimum of 10 adults from a single group, and are included in the package. For 9 passengers and below, private boat transfers are available at an additional charge of USD 700 and applicable taxes. Speedboat transfers include Male Airport to the resort and back. Child packages are priced at USD 89, limited to lunch, stingray feeding and combined boat transfer.
Taj Coral Reef is tucked over a 1000-year-old precious coral atoll, encircling the heart-shaped Hembadhu Island. 62 thatched-roof villas designed atop the house reef offer environmentally-responsible vacations to visitors. The resort boasts a world-class dive-in centre, with an award-winning environmental protection and conservation program that invites guests to participate as ‘Custodians of the Reef’, protecting the ecosystem while exploring it.
