The Cocoon Collection appoints Mamdhouh Mohamed as Senior Director of Sales – Maldives

The Cocoon Collection has announced the appointment of Mamdhouh Mohamed as Senior Director of Sales for its Maldives properties, strengthening its commercial leadership as the group continues to expand its presence in the luxury resort segment.

The appointment brings to the group an experienced hospitality sales professional with an extensive background in the Maldivian resort sector and a track record in destination-focused sales strategy. In his new role, Mamdhouh will oversee sales strategy and business development across The Cocoon Collection’s Maldives portfolio, with a focus on strengthening global partnerships, key accounts and strategic markets.

Ahmed Jihad (Jay), Chief Operating Officer of The Cocoon Collection, said the appointment reflects the group’s focus on long-term growth and leadership development.

Mamdhouh brings with him a distinguished career in the Maldives hospitality industry, having held senior sales and leadership roles at a number of high-end resorts. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, where he led destination sales initiatives across key international markets.

His experience spans luxury resort portfolios and market-driven sales strategies, with a focus on revenue growth, partner engagement and guest-centric positioning.

Commenting on his appointment, Mamdhouh said he was looking forward to contributing to the Collection’s next phase of growth.
