The Small Maldives Island Co. appoints Rochelle Kilgariff as resort manager of Finolhu
The Small Maldives Island Co. has announced the appointment of Rochelle Kilgariff as resort manager at Finolhu.
Originally from Perth, Australia, Rochelle initially worked in the Australian travel industry and served as the director of product at one of Australia’s leading independent holiday companies, Creative Holidays, for 13 years. In addition to the Maldives, Rochelle’s career has taken her to various destinations all over the world including Oman, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Prior to being appointed as the resort manager of Finolhu, Rochelle served as the general manager of Karma Kandara in Bali, Indonesia. Rochelle has also served as general manager at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives, and Six Senses Resorts & Spas’ Zighy Bay Oman.
During her time in the Middle East, Rochelle was named number 47 on the 2010 Power List of influential hotel and tourism professionals in the Middle East voted by Middle East Hotelier. Additionally, Rochelle has completed a General Manager Programme from Cornell University.
The Small Maldives Island Co. Chairman Michael Flynn said, “We are delighted to have someone with Rochelle’s depth of experience join us for something as important as Finolhu.” Situated in Baa Atoll and scheduled to open in mid-2016, Finolhu is the sister island to Amilla Fushi, which is also managed by The Small Maldives Island Co.
Rochelle Kilgariff is another Australian addition to the management of Amilla Fushi and Finolhu, joining Chairman Michael Flynn, Curator and CEO Mark Hehir and Island Restaurateur Luke Mangan.
