
Visit Maldives and Booking.com empower Maldivian guesthouses through strategic workshop
The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives), in partnership with Booking.com—one of the world’s leading digital travel platforms—recently hosted a workshop at the STELCO Auditorium aimed at empowering guesthouse operators across the Maldives.
This event marked the first initiative under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MMPRC and Booking.com. The workshop focused on providing guesthouse owners and managers with key insights, marketing techniques, and strategic knowledge to strengthen their online presence and drive business through the globally recognised Booking.com platform.
Designed as an interactive learning experience, the session offered participants direct access to expertise from Booking.com representatives. Attendees engaged in targeted discussions and practical sessions, learning how to optimise their property listings for better performance and visibility. The workshop also covered the latest travel industry trends and digital tools that can enhance guest appeal and boost revenue generation.
In addition to technical skills, the session aimed to bolster digital marketing capabilities among local guesthouses, contributing to their long-term success in a competitive global market.
