Visit Maldives backs FHAM 2026 to strengthen hospitality industry
Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has endorsed Food & Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) 2026, reaffirming its support for initiatives that strengthen the Maldives’ tourism and hospitality ecosystem and promote excellence across the industry.
FHAM 2026 will take place from 7 to 9 September 2026 at the newly opened Manhattan Grand Hotel in Hulhumalé. The three-day hospitality trade exhibition and Global Culinary Challenge will bring together hospitality professionals, resort and hotel representatives, chefs, suppliers, international brands and industry stakeholders for business networking, industry showcases, knowledge exchange and culinary competitions.

The event is expected to attract thousands of trade visitors, with buyers representing more than 120 resorts and hotels, alongside over 100 exhibitors and leading local and international hospitality brands. The exhibition will feature products, services and solutions across food and beverage, commercial kitchen equipment, hospitality technology, bakery and pastry, hotel amenities, housekeeping, wellness and other areas supporting the hospitality industry.
A key highlight of FHAM 2026 will be the Global Culinary Challenge, the only World Association of Chefs Societies (Worldchefs) endorsed national culinary competition in the Maldives. More than 700 chefs are expected to compete across a range of culinary and pastry categories, providing a platform to showcase the talent and expertise of the Maldives’ hospitality workforce.

The event will also feature the Barista Championship, Mocktail Competition and Housekeeping & Bed Decoration Challenge, alongside product launches, industry showcases and networking opportunities.
VMC’s endorsement of FHAM 2026 reflects its commitment to supporting platforms that connect Maldivian hospitality stakeholders with international brands, suppliers and industry professionals. Such platforms contribute to knowledge-sharing, professional development, innovation and stronger business collaboration across the tourism and hospitality value chain.

The Global Culinary Challenge and other competitions will further showcase the depth and diversity of talent within the Maldivian hospitality industry, contributing to the continued development of a skilled and internationally competitive tourism workforce.
The 2026 edition of FHAM will also mark the first major event hosted at the newly opened Manhattan Grand Hotel, highlighting the continued growth and development of the Maldives’ hospitality infrastructure.
FHAM 2026 is supported by leading industry partners across the region, including Lily International, Nestlé, SIMDI, Euro Marketing, COSMERC, MIFCO, Dunar, Nescafé, Maggi and Lavazza.
Through its endorsement of FHAM 2026, Visit Maldives continues to support industry-led initiatives that contribute to the growth, professionalism and competitiveness of the Maldivian tourism sector and reinforce the Maldives’ position as a leading global tourism destination with a strong and dynamic hospitality industry.
