Visit Maldives endorses TechEng 2026
Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has officially endorsed TechEng 2026, reaffirming its support for initiatives that strengthen the technology and engineering backbone of the country’s tourism industry.
Scheduled to take place from 6–8 October 2026 at Central Park, Hulhumalé, TechEng 2026 is the Maldives’ dedicated B2B exhibition focused on technology and engineering solutions for the hospitality sector. Building on the success of the inaugural edition, the event will once again bring together solution providers, hospitality operators, developers, infrastructure stakeholders, and public and private sector decision-makers.
The first edition of TechEng welcomed over 500 industry attendees, 30+ exhibiting brands, and facilitated more than 100 business meetings, with 70% of attendees representing decision-making roles within their organisations.
The continued endorsement from Visit Maldives highlights the growing importance of engineering, sustainability, and smart infrastructure in supporting the Maldives’ position as a globally competitive tourism destination.
In its endorsement letter, Visit Maldives noted that the continued expansion and global competitiveness of the tourism sector rely heavily on a robust technical and infrastructure backbone, and recognised TechEng’s focus on energy and water solutions, digital infrastructure, smart technologies, and sustainable engineering practices.
