Visit Maldives joins ETHEXPO 2025 to promote wellness tourism in Türkiye
Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) is participating in the Eurasia Tourism & Health Expo (ETHEXPO) 2025 in Istanbul, held from 26 to 29 November 2025, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Maldives in Türkiye. The participation reaffirms the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening its presence in the Turkish market and expanding its visibility across the wider Eurasian region.
ETHEXPO is one of Türkiye’s foremost tourism and health sector exhibitions, bringing together international and domestic exhibitors to explore opportunities in medical, wellness, experiential, and leisure tourism. With visitors from more than 100 countries, the event provides an important platform for engaging with industry professionals, establishing new partnerships, and reinforcing the Maldives’ appeal across niche tourism segments.
The joint participation with the Maldives Embassy underscores the close diplomatic and tourism ties between the two nations. It also reflects Visit Maldives’ continued efforts to enhance destination awareness and build strong relationships with tourism stakeholders in Türkiye, an increasingly significant regional source market.
The Maldives’ presence at the Expo focuses on showcasing the country’s world-class hospitality, natural healing environments, and diverse wellness offerings. Visitors to the stand can explore luxury resorts, spa and wellbeing facilities, nature-based therapies, and the ocean surroundings that support restorative travel experiences.
“Türkiye is a key market with growing interest in wellness, medical, and experiential travel. ETHEXPO allows us to highlight the Maldives as more than a luxury leisure destination, presenting our natural healing environments, spa offerings, and unique ocean-inspired therapies to a wider audience,” said Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director of Visit Maldives Corporation. “Our participation strengthens our engagement with regional travel trade partners and positions the Maldives as a rising destination for wellness tourism.”
Through B2B meetings, networking opportunities, and on-site industry engagements, Visit Maldives aims to build new partnerships with buyers and agencies specialising in wellness and medical tourism. The Expo also provides an opportunity to gather market intelligence on emerging trends and traveller preferences, supporting the Maldives’ wider efforts to diversify tourism products and strengthen its presence in niche sectors.
Participation in ETHEXPO 2025 marks another step in Visit Maldives’ broader strategy to maintain strong destination visibility, foster market trust, and position the Maldives as a leading choice for relaxation, rejuvenation, and wellbeing across the Turkish and Eurasian markets.
