Yothin Uthaphu named resort manager at Outrigger Konotta Maldives

Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort has announced Yothin Uthaphu as their new resort manager. The resort is located in Gaafu Dhaalu atoll, and will be open on 1 August 2015.
Prior to joining Outrigger Konotta Maldives, Yothin has held senior posts working at the some of the top resort brands in the region such as Centara Resorts in Thailand and the Maldives, world famous hotel chains -the Marriott and Accor – along with other assorted hotels and resorts in different exotic locations. As the resort manager of Konotta Maldives, Yothin will report to the General Manager, Pascal Billon.
Speaking about the opening of the resort, Billon said: “At Outrigger Maldives we aim to deliver informal luxury and celebrate the destination’s unique culture and sense of place.” He continued: “Educational marine environment experiences on the pristine waters offshore and wonderful Maldivian culinary discoveries onshore await all guests.”
The general manager of a travel agency for two years, Yothin earned his Diploma in Business Management at Wentworth Academy in Sydney, Australia. Since then, he has worked in the tourism sector, and now holds 16 years of experience working in the industry.
A 55-minute flight away from Kaadedhoo Airport, followed by a short 20-minute speedboat ride away, Outrigger Konotta Maldives is 50 kilometres north of the equator.
Outrigger Konotta Maldives offers guests Beach Pool Villas, Ocean Pool Villas, Ocean Pool Villas, and an exquisite Presidential Villa to choose from. The recently built resort has been open for bookings since the beginning of this month.
