Angsana Velavaru promotes Adlan F. Bakti as Assistant Sustainability Manager

Angsana Velavaru has announced the promotion of Adlan F. Bakti to the role of Assistant Sustainability Manager. A dedicated marine conservationist with a decade of experience in the Banyan Group, Adlan has played a pivotal role in shaping the resort’s sustainability efforts. His journey – one that seamlessly bridges environmental stewardship with guest experiences – reflects a deep commitment to both marine conservation and responsible hospitality.

Adlan’s career began in 2015 at Banyan Tree Bintan, where he stepped into the role of Conservation Officer. His passion for marine ecosystems and the ability to integrate conservation within the hospitality landscape led him to Angsana Velavaru in 2022, where he continued his work as a Marine Environment Officer. Over the years, his contributions have gone beyond protecting marine biodiversity, influencing sustainable operations and fostering community engagement.

A firm believer in the power of knowledge-sharing, Adlan has dedicated himself to inspiring both colleagues and guests to become active participants in conservation. From spearheading marine restoration projects to weaving sustainability into daily resort operations, his leadership has been instrumental in ensuring that environmental responsibility remains at the core of the Angsana Velavaru experience.

In his new role, Adlan will oversee the implementation of sustainability initiatives across all departments, ensuring alignment with Banyan Group’s vision. His focus remains on strengthening conservation programmes, mentoring teams, and fostering culture of sustainability within the resort.

Reflecting on his journey, Adlan shares: “Sustainability isn’t just about policies and programmes; it’s about people. The more we share knowledge and inspire action, the greater the impact we can make- both within our resort and beyond.”

As Angsana Velavaru continues to evolve, Adlan’s leadership will be key in driving forward a vision that balances innovation with environmental responsibility. His promotion marks not just a career milestone but a reaffirmation of the resort’s unwavering commitment to sustainability.
