A visionary hospitality leader with over 25 years of international experience, Özgür brings a remarkable legacy of excellence in ultra luxury resort management, wellness innovation, and transformative guest experiences.
Renowned for his pioneering approach to luxury hospitality, Özgür has built a distinguished global career across premier destinations including the Maldives, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Europe. His leadership is defined by a rare ability to seamlessly blend strategic vision, operational excellence, and purpose-driven hospitality, consistently elevating properties to award-winning status.
Previously, Özgür served as General Manager of JOALI BEING Maldives, where he successfully designed, launched and positioned the world’s first nature-immersive wellbeing Resort. He has also held senior leadership roles at JOALI Maldives, GOCO Hospitality, and One&Only Reethi Rah, shaping holistic guest experiences and lifestyle-driven concepts. Most recently, as Global Director he oversaw multiple luxury brands, driving strategic growth and expanding their global presence across the luxury and wellness hospitality landscape.
A passionate advocate for wellness and sustainability, Özgür is deeply engaged with the global luxury hospitality and wellness community as a Global Wellness Institute Ambassador, a panelist and a member of the World Spa & Wellness Awards judging committee. His leadership philosophy centers on nurturing diverse, high-performing teams while creating meaningful, immersive experiences that resonate with the modern luxury traveller.
In his new role, Özgür will oversee all aspects of operations at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort one of the Indian Ocean’s most iconic ultra luxury destinations set amidst the pristine Dhaalu Atoll and celebrated for its visionary design, signature St. Regis Butler Service, and elevated culinary and wellness experiences. He will bring a renewed focus on curating exceptional, personalized guest journeys, advancing wellness-led offerings, and championing sustainable innovation, while further strengthening the resort’s legacy of timeless elegance, anticipatory service, and modern glamour.
