490 Sun Siyam team members, guests join Pink Ribbon Run/Walk 2026
Sun Siyam brought together 490 team members and guests across its five Maldivian resorts and Head Office in support of the Cancer Society of Maldives (CSM) Pink Ribbon Run/Walk 2026. Held under the theme “I Can, You Can, We Can Help Prevent Cancer,” the initiative united communities across the country to raise awareness of cancer prevention, early detection and the importance of looking after one another.

As part of its ongoing Sun Siyam Cares commitment, the group contributed a total of MVR 122,060 through the purchase of campaign T-shirts, supporting the Cancer Society of Maldives and its efforts to encourage greater awareness and community involvement.

The initiative saw participation across the entire Maldivian portfolio, including Siyam World Maldives, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef and Sun Siyam Olhuveli, alongside colleagues from the Sun Siyam Head Office in Male. From resort islands to the capital, team members and guests came together in a shared show of solidarity, turning a simple walk or run into a meaningful expression of support for a cause that touches families and communities everywhere.

Beyond raising funds, the Pink Ribbon Run/Walk offered an opportunity to encourage conversations around personal wellbeing, healthier lifestyles and the importance of cancer awareness. The involvement of both employees and resort guests also reflected Sun Siyam’s belief that hospitality extends beyond the guest experience to caring for people and the communities around them.

Through Sun Siyam Cares, the group’s sustainability and social responsibility programme, Sun Siyam continues to support initiatives focused on healthcare, community development, environmental responsibility and the wellbeing of its people. The group’s participation in the Pink Ribbon Run/Walk reflects this wider commitment, bringing colleagues and guests together to contribute to positive change across the Maldives.

Sun Siyam Resorts extends its appreciation to the Cancer Society of Maldives for leading this important initiative, and to every team member and guest who took part in helping spread its message.
