Al Shaali Marine Maldives Pvt. Ltd is one of the biggest boat builders in the Maldives. The company was formed in 2006 as a joint venture between Dubai’s well known boat builder Al Shaali Marine UAE and Coastline Investments, Maldives.

According to Ismail Shareef, the service Delivery Manager of Al Shaali Marine Maldives, the company is engaged in both production and service. This includes boat building, repair and maintenance, and refurbishment.

ALSHAALI (3)Al Shaali Marine Maldives builds boats of 50 feet and speed boats of 24, 34 and 37 feet at the company’s factory at Thilafushi. Although the boats are built in standard sizes, they are all produced under different concepts for different purposes such as diving, excursions, recreation, big game fishing and transportation. “Although these are standard sizes, we customize the interiors of the boats according to the customer’s requirements”, says Shareef. According to him, all these boats are built by using the highest quality of materials and equipment that are used in the marine industry.

In addition to boat building, the company’s factory at Thilafushi also offers a complete range of maintenance services. Al Shaali Marine Maldives’ products and services are delivered by a team of around 80 staffs that occupy the entire spectrum from laborers to naval architects.

The main customers of Al Shaali Marine Maldives are the tourist resorts, Hotels & transport providers & individuals. Explains Shareef.“We see our customers as our family. Our service does not simply end at the point when the boat is built. We also keep a very close relationship with our customers during after service. And since we see our customers as our family we offer a lot of flexibility”.

According to Shareef, Al Shaali Marine Maldives is always looking for better boat building materials and constantly innovates itself to accommodate the latest changes that come about to the boat building industry.

According to Shareef, Al Shaali MarineALSHAALI (2) Maldives does not face too many challenges when conducting their business.

Al Shaari Marine Maldives is currently working to introduce some new boats in different sizes that can be used in local island tourism in addition to being used at the resorts. “One of them is going to be launched in Maldives Marine EXPO-2015 – it’s a small craft to the market size 24 feet’s suitable for the resorts as well as for local tourism use. We are looking to build this in two concepts. One concept is water sports and that’s for the resorts. And we are looking to use the same size in local tourism as well.
