Brice Borin appointed General Manager of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Kuredhivaru Maldives

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has appointed Brice Borin as the General Manager of its soon-to-open Mövenpick Resort & Spa Kuredhivaru Maldives. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Kuredhivaru Maldives is nestled on the stunning Kuredhivaru Island in Noonu Atoll. It is expected to open during the third quarter this year.

The highly-skilled and experienced French hotelier, Brice Borin, was named as the General Manager of Mövenpick’s first property in the Maldives. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Kuredhivaru Maldives will feature 105 luxury villas, all with their own private swimming pool, including over-water accommodation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”17257″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Brice has almost 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, more than 20 of which have been spent in the Asia Pacific region. Most recently he was GM of the Soori Bali, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World (LHW), and he will now return to the country where he previously spent two years as GM of The Regent Maldives.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts also made a General Manager appointment for another hotel in the Indian Ocean. George Koumendakos, a Dutch national with over 30 years’ of experience, was appointed General Manager of the Mövenpick Hotel Colombo.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts expects to launch at least eight new hotels in the Asia Pacific region in 2018. These new properties will join the Swiss hotel group’s existing portfolio of 11 operating Asia Pacific hotels, meaning that in 2018 alone, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ collection of Asia Pacific hotels is expected to increase by more than 50 percent.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, an international upscale hotel management company with over 16,000 staff members, is represented in 24 countries with 83 hotels, resorts and Nile cruisers currently in operation. Around 40 properties are planned or under construction, including those in Kuredhivaru, The Hague, Netherlands, and Basel, Switzerland.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
