Central Hospitality International (CHi) appoints Tom Thrussel as the company’s vice president of brand, marketing and digital
Central Hospitality International (CHi) has appointed Tom Thrussel as the company’s vice president of brand, marketing and digital.
Thrussel, a British national with over 10 years of experience in marketing, has previously worked for leading companies such as American Express and Maybourne Hotel Group.

Before joining CHi, Thrussel was the director of marketing operations at Maybourne Hotel Group.
“In the short time since Tom has joined CHi, we have already begun to experience the positive and forward thinking influence that we knew he would bring. 2016 has already presented a positive change, which includes the corporate rebrand from Centara Hotels & Resorts to our new identity, Central Hospitality International (CHi),” said Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive officer of CHi.
Central Hospitality International, which announced rebranding of the holding company earlier this month, operates two resorts in the Maldives: Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa, and Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa.
The group currently owns and manages five-star properties in Thailand, Bali, Vietnam and Sri Lanka with several projects in the pipeline in Qatar, Laos, Oman, Turkey and China.
The group presently includes Centara Grand Hotels & Resorts, Centara Hotels & Resorts, Centara Residences & Suites, Centara Boutique Collection, Centra Hotels & Resorts and COSI Hotels.
