Emboodhoo Lagoon: CROSSROADS project sees first open house for investors
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Singha Estate, the developer of the Emboodhoo Lagoon: CROSSROADS project, has held an open house event on the business investment opportunities available in the project. More than 15 local and international investors attended the event held at the National Art Gallery. The CROSSROADS project is the country’s first multi-island integrated leisure and entertainment destination in the Maldives.
The Investment Retail Opportunity event brought together 15 international retail stores, Health & Wellness, and Food & Beverage, including Mango Tree Bistro, Indus, Kenny Rogers Roasters, NaRaYa, and Divana Spa. Premium brands represent attractive opportunities for franchise investment at the Emboodhoo Lagoon project.
“The Emboodhoo Lagoon project shows the interest of top international brands and companies to invest in the Maldives,” said Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Economic Development, speaking about the investment opportunities available in the Maldives.
Moosa Zameer, the Minister of Tourism, echoed Saeed’s remarks. He said: “The Emboodhoo Lagoon project is just one of such investment opportunities on offer in the Maldives. It is a testament to the confidence investors have in projects in the Maldives.”
The mega-development is in line with the government’s Foreign Direct Investment policy to advocate free enterprise with pro-market programmes. This is strongly embedded in the country’s economic vision to expand its tourism industry while upholding social, cultural, and environmental sustainability.
“Singha Estate places a great emphasis on business synergy and strong asset diversification. We believe that CROSSROADS presents an attractive investment opportunity for local and international investors,” said Thiti Thongbenjamas, Chief Investment Officer of Singha Estate Company Limited.
“We are a highly skilled and dedicated business development team with acclaimed expertise in the tourism industry and the service sector, together with a strategic support from the Maldivian government, the project will open up new market segments tapping mid-market and family with its unique selling points as the first multi-island integrated leisure and entertainment destination. Singha Estate is highly confident in the decision to invest in this project.”
CROSSROADS is set to redefine the Maldives’ tourism experience and stimulate the country’s economy. The project is responding to the rapidly growing demand of the international family-leisure market while embracing the “One Island, One Resort” concept. CROSSROADS will also offer exciting new career opportunities.
Situated just a 15-minute speedboat ride away from Velana International Airport and 8 kilometres from Malé City and Hulhumalé, a Bill Bensley-designed ‘Township’ will bring together a rich combination of hotels, entertainment centres, retail stores and fine dining restaurants with unique offerings for both travellers and residents of Malé, according to Singha Estate.
