GM Forum 2022: Four Seasons Maldives to Present on Coral Propagation Program
Four Seasons Maldives will be presenting on “Coral Propagation in the Maldives” at GM Forum 2022, scheduled for 15th September at Kurumba Maldives Resort. The presentation will be made by Erin Yungblut, MDC Manager, and Alejandra Woolrich-Arrioja, Deputy MDC Manager and Coral Biologist from Four Season Resort at Kuda Huraa.

The Maldives’ hospitality, vibrant coral reefs, and marine life make it a top global destination for luxury resorts. However, Climate Change impacts such as sea level rise and high ocean temperatures, are already affecting this unique country. In 2001, Reefscapers (formerly Seamarc), started working with Four Seasons Kuda Huraa to improve coral cover and aid reefs damaged by coral bleaching. The partnership would then develop to become one of the most successful reef propagation projects of its kind in the world.
The coral program initiated by Four Seasons Resorts helps to increase marine biodiversity and allows their team of expert marine biologists to carry out scientific research, raise local and guest awareness, and create connections to the marine environment, promoting its conservation.
