Maldives set for flurry of new resort openings by 2019

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Work is currently underway on a collection of new resorts and hotels that will open in the Maldives throughout 2018 and early 2019. Following a push to improve hotel capacity, the Indian Ocean archipelago will play host to a dozen new hotels, with international brands all planning openings. Here is a list of the resorts.

Baglioni Resort Maldives

Lux* North Malé Atoll

Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa

Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa, opening in October 2018, will be developed on the island of Fasmendhoo in Raa Atoll. Waldorf Astoria Maldives 

One of Hilton Worldwide’s luxury hotel and resort brands, Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is once again opening a resort property in the Maldives. Centara Grand Muthaafushi Resort & Spa

The Nautilus Maldives

Hard Rock International, globally recognised as a world-class entertainment and lifestyle brand, will expand its portfolio with Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and Hard Rock Café Maldives.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The two are scheduled to be opened in October 2018, as part of the Emboodhoo Lagoon project – the country’s first multi-island integrated resort project.
