Maldives Makes a Splash at ITB Berlin 2023
The Maldives contingent showed up to the first day of ITB Berlin 2023 in a big way! After a three-year hiatus, ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show, commenced today. The three-day convention is considered the travel industry’s leading think tank. Over 400 experts will share knowledge on the latest trends and challenges facing the tourism industry.
The Maldives contingent consists of 91 companies with 233 participants representing resorts, travel agencies, guesthouses, liveaboards and airlines. The Maldives constructed a two-story stand inspired by traditional architectural elements. The stand’s minimalist yet elegant design of thatched roofs and vibrant underwater photos make you feel like you are stepping into the Maldives. Maldivian culture is celebrated with dance performances, cooking demonstrations and concerts by local band The Kabans.
