MATATO holds 5TH Maldives Travel Awards
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators, MATATO, has on Sunday night honoured Maldivian tourism and hospitality with establishments with the 5th edition of the MATATO Maldives Travel Awards.
Held at Olhuveli Beach as Spa, Bandos Maldives came out as the night’s biggest winner, taking home the most awards, including the Leading Family Resort, Leading Dive Resorts, Leading Meeting and Conference Resort as well as Leading Local Hotel/Resort Brand.
Conrad Maldives Rangali shined bright at last night’s ceremony as well with three awards under its banner, including the Leading International Hotel and Resort Brand, Leading Luxury Resort as well as Leading F&B Resort.
Sunday night’s ceremony also saw the travel industry’s Lifetime Achievement Award honoured to the Chairman of Sun Siyam Resorts, MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, for his decades of valuable services to the industry.
This year’s event saw 246 properties compete for 35 awards including 5 new awards introduced this year. Among the winners were:
