Mihin Lanka to resume Male’-Colombo route in November

Ace Aviation Services, the General Sales Agent of Mihin Lanka to the Maldives announced that its new introductory fares will allow customers who purchase their tickets between now and 23rd November to access special fares of 143 USD return and 85 USD one way in economy class and USD 172 return and USD 106 one way in business class.

Flights between Male’ and Colombo will be three times a week; on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Departures will be at 18:55 from Male’ and at 16:30 from Colombo, while arrivals to Male’ will be at 17:55, and Colombo at 20:20.

Speaking to Hotelier Maldives, Roshan Madurawala, Business Development Manager at Ace Aviation Services, explained that the main purpose for commencing the flights between Male’ and Colombo was for the convenience of locals and expatriates in the Maldives. He also mentioned that that Flysmiles points are enabled for frequent flyers.

The baggage allowance for the special economy fares will be 20kg per person. Normal economy fares are entitled to 30kg baggage allowance, as are the special business class fares. Normal business class fares are entitled to 40kg baggage allowance.

The airline will include a light snack to be served on board all Mihin Lanka flights.

Mihin Lanka also operates direct flights from Colombo to key destinations across the Indian sub-continent, Asia and the Middle East.
