Niva Dhigali appoints Elena Philip Perembiyil as Executive Housekeeper

Niva Dhigali has appointed Elena Philip Perembiyil as Executive Housekeeper, bringing nearly three decades of international hospitality experience to the resort.

Originally from Bengaluru, India, Elena has built her career across the Caribbean, the Middle East and the Indian Ocean. She joins Niva Dhigali from Saint Lucia, where she served as Cluster Executive Housekeeper at Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet, overseeing housekeeping operations at both resorts. During her tenure, the properties received the Forbes Four-Star rating and the AAA Five Diamond Award in 2024 and 2025.

Prior to her role in Saint Lucia, Elena was Director of Housekeeping Excellence at Oyster Bay in Jamaica. Earlier in her career, she held a pre-opening leadership position at the Jebel Ali Hotel in Dubai and worked at several resorts across the Caribbean.

She holds the Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive (CHHE) designation from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and studied hotel management at the Indian Institute of Hotel Management in Ahmedabad.

Throughout her career, Elena has focused on developing housekeeping professionals, mentoring team members into supervisory and management roles while building collaborative and high-performing departments. Her approach combines operational standards with guest experience, placing emphasis on creating welcoming environments and maintaining consistent service quality.
