Rocking Festive Season Wraps Up at Amilla Maldives

Celebrating through the holidays of Christmas, New Year’s and Orthodox Christmas, after 17 days of world-class parties and entertainment, the festive season at Amilla Maldives Resorts and Residences comes to a close. The first nine days built up the hype for the live New Year’s Eve performance by British singer Pixie Lott and DJ Scott Mills, followed by a stunning firework show as the clock struck midnight.  

This year’s festive season theme was ‘Amilla Presents, Showtime!’. Each day, a different musical was featured with accompanying themed activities, including acrobatics, workshops and special events. The musical of December 22 was Aladdin, featuring activities such as Three Wishes Art Class, Genie Cookie Decorating, a fire show and Arabic feast. 

To keep up the festive spirit, Amilla designed thematic experiences for body and mind, including Reindeer Zuma, Elves Acrobatics Class and Santa’s Hatha Yoga. Kids were also celebrating with a Festive Football Camp led by legendary player, Tim Sherwood, Mrs Claus’ Craft Party and Mermaid Classes at the kid’s club. 

The island resort was illuminated with thousands of eco-friendly LED and solar-powered lights. An enormous Christmas tree of lights stood tall on the beach. The environmentally friendly light displays precede new solar panels that will be installed at Amilla later this year.
