The project, called ‘Check out for Children’ supports water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects in the Middle East and Africa. The charity event will be held on the 14th of July this year, and the management expects a successful turn out at the event.

‘Check out for children’, is a partnership agreement between UNICEF and Starwood hotels and resorts.  Throughout their 20 years of partnership, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, together with their employees and guests, have raised over USD 30 million for UNICEF to help improve the lives of more than 4.5 million children.

Jean-Louis Ripoche, Complex General Manager at Sheraton Maldives said: “Ramadan is a time of giving; and as such we wanted the contributions from our charity Iftar event to go towards UNICEF Check Out for Children which is a partnership between UNICEF and Starwood Hotels & Resorts to help improve the lives of children around the world.”

The charity iftar will be held at the Anchorage Bar, at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa. For the price of USD 40, which includes return transfer to and from Male’, guests will have a wide array of delicious dishes and drinks to choose from, including Western hot dishes, and Maldivian main courses, an omelet counter, a juice section, dessert table, and many more. Guests will arrive at the resort at 17.30 and depart at 19.30 the same day.

The iftar meal is eaten to break the daily fast that Muslims observe every day during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
