Shoumo Mukherjee appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at Jumeirah Vittaveli

Jumeirah Vittaveli has announced the appointment of Shoumo Mukherjee as the resort’s new Director of Sales and Marketing, to lead its commercial division. An Indian national, Shoumo Mukherjee has in-depth experience in the Maldives’ hospitality industry, having served as General Manager Sales & Marketing for Universal Resorts Maldives in the early 2000’s.

During his seven-year tenure with Universal, Shoumo oversaw their resorts in the Maldives and Seychelles and grew the group’s revenue by 300%. Shoumo started his career with the prestigious Oberoi Hotels India, and added commercial success at a selection of luxury brands in India to his achievements.

His expertise ranges from corporate sales to online distribution, leisure sales, to casino management, as he improved revenue by more than 30% in his most recent role as VP Sales and Marketing for the Deltin Group in India.
