Anantara Veli Maldives Resort Reopens With New Wellness Concept
After nine months of extensive renovation, Anantara Veli Maldives Resort reopened on 1st December 2022. The renovation includes revamped accommodation, introducing a new room category; Beach Pool Villa, a new Villa Host service for guests, redesigned restaurants and a hammam added to the spa.
The unspoiled setting of Anantara Veli inspired New York based designer Yuji Yamazaki to develop a renovation concept centered in nature and wellness. Yamazaki added an extra layer of privacy to keep guests at one with the environment while giving them a sense of seclusion, from self-sufficient villa and spa designs to restaurants infused with modern takes on no-walls tropical living.
“We are really excited to relaunch Anantara Veli, on schedule and in time for the festive season. With the completion of the extensive refurbishment, including the addition of the brand-new Beach Pool Villas, the adults only resort is once again world class and will compete strongly in the very competitive Maldives market,” said Giles Selves, Cluster General Manager at Anantara Veli Maldives Resort.
