Hotelier Maldives Awards

Over four decades old, the Maldives tourism industry is one of the most robust and remains one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the world. Pioneered by a group of enterprising Maldivians, and later consolidated by the entry of leading international hotel chains, an authentic and distinct touch of Maldivian hospitality combined with the pristine surroundings of the resorts are the hallmarks of the destination. While increasingly luxurious resorts with state-of-the-art technology deployed in their top-most efficiency are being developed, the backbone of the industry remains the hard-working employees who are challenged to their limits to maintain the now reputed levels of service quality expected from the Maldives’ resorts.

The architecture and design, as well as the overall performance of the resorts and hotels in the Maldives, are well recognised in industry forums through awards both locally and internationally. However, as of present, an award that specifically recognises the employees working behind the scenes to deliver a memorable guest experience is lacking. And Hotelier Maldives Awards seek to address this lack through hosting an annual function where outstanding employees for a number of categories will be acknowledged.

The categories for the inaugural Hotelier Maldives awards will be announced in December 2017. Among others, the categories will include General Manager of the Year, Sales Person of the Year, Marketing and PR Person of the year, F&B Manager of the Year, Executive Chef of the Year, Fitness/Spa Person of the Year, Procurement Person of the Year, Finance Person of the Year, Housekeeper of the Year, Concierge/Guest Services Person of the Year, Safety and Security Person of the Year, Young Hotelier of the Year, Hotel Team of the Year, etc. Nominations for the awards can be made through a dedicated page on hoteliermaldives.com  and winners will be decided by an independent panel of expert judges, ensuring the integrity of the awards, acknowledging only those who are truly deserving of the accolade.

The Hotelier Maldives Awards will be a celebration of excellence in the Maldivian hospitality industry, the winners being those who truly make a difference in the industry.

In addition to Platinum, Gold, Silver and Category Sponsorships, bespoke sponsorship packages will include Table Sponsors, Water Sponsor, Coffee Sponsor, Glassware Sponsor, Social Media Sponsor, etc. among others.
