Maldives wins “Best Stand Design” Award at World Travel Market – WTM London 2023
The Maldives stand at World Travel Market – WTM London 2023 has won the award for “Best Stand Design”. The Maldives stand was designed to draw inspiration from the breathtaking underwater beauty of the Maldives and to present the unique experiences and sustainability initiatives that are available to visitors.
The stand was divided into different zones, each representing a different aspect of the Maldives experience. The “Underwater Zone” featured a replica of a coral reef, while the “Sustainability Zone” highlighted the Maldives’ commitment to environmentally friendly tourism. The stand also featured a variety of interactive experiences, such as a virtual reality dive and a Maldivian cooking demonstration.
The award for “Best Stand Design” was presented to the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) at a ceremony at the ExCeL London on Tuesday, 7 November 2023. MMPRC is the government agency responsible for promoting tourism to the Maldives.
The Maldives stand at WTM London 2023 was a resounding success and it is an honor to have been awarded the “Best Stand Design” award. In addition to winning the award for “Best Stand Design”, the Maldives also won the award for “Best Stand Feature” at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023 in May 2023.
