Maldives celebrates Chinese New Year 2016 in Maafushi
MMPRC, together with the Ministry of Tourism and Guest House Association of Maldives have organised a number of activities to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The celebrations will be held at Maafushi today.
Maldives records 1.1 million tourist arrivals this year at the end of November
Tourist arrivals for the year so far totalled 1,114,993 at the end of November, an increase of 1.3% compared to the same period last year.

609,105 tourist arrivals recorded for first six months of 2015, reports Tourism Ministry
The Maldives Ministry of Tourism has reported 609,105 tourists to have visited the Maldives this year up till the end of June. This is a 1.3% increase compared to the 601,513 tourist arrivals recorded for the same duration last year.
Tourist Arrivals Reach 1.2 Million in 2014
The number of tourist arrivals reached 1,204,857 in 2014, marginally surpassing the tourism ministry’s target of 1.2 million visitors during the year.
